I only have just 1 point in colossus, 1100dps in the gear I used against Hades and spinebreaker mace as weapon. I tried staying in melee range but he just outdamaged me and I had to run and chug potions. He also keeps casting that blob thing while I stood in melee and had to run from it as well. Phase 3 especially was hard for me.

First note he asked how many points you have in CF... since you only have one should look into putting more into... that is a general principle that should apply to all things in this game... if you arent dealing enough damage, raise your damage dealing skills etc.
Do you have any good weapons with %Attack converted to Health? or maybe a Soul Shiver Artifact? That would help significantly especially when your Shield procs kick in if you use the artifact. ... nvm I just checked your weapon... well something on you sucks a bunch... post a pic of your gear, or list it out and lets see some skills... because you shouldnt be having problems like that Especially in CF

Athena's battle greaves
Necklace of the tiger (23% total speed, hate running slow) with epic raptor tooth enchant
Bracers of troy (suck, haven't been able to find any better)
Shield of the hideous visage
Helm of odysseus
Crest of Mu Rong and Band of Dominion as rings, they've been the best I've got my hands on.
Kahn's hunting harness or Soulshould Chiton as chest, again no better items have dropped 8[
Nexus of Insanity as artifact.

Artifacts are a major problem cos I just got IT and started from epic Hades. All the good artifacts require some lesser ones to complete and I don't really feel like farming normal to get them.

My char is at lvl 56 and I have maxed out all the passive shield attacks. I'm not using summons cos I don't really want to play with them. I know that gimps my damage a bit but I've been able to live with that . I also don't have any points in plague, I guess that could help a bit with bosses.

Plague should help a bunch. Do you use wolves? Do you use the strength of the Pack? Wolves are not damage sources as much as they are aura buffers. Thats all I consider them at least. They add sum +50% and some attackspeed IIRC. A definately bonus. You should really look into a new chest piece. Even Greens more directed at what you are dealing and needing are better than Epics and Legendaries that are made for someone else. You should keep an eye out for useful greens more often. not much help I know, but don't die, use your toons skills to the best of your ability. Plague can help and quick recover can make it so you wont take much damage...

Yeah I know wolves would be good indirect damage source, but I just don't like the idea of having them with my toon. Kahn's chest is actually pretty good chest damage wise, but it really lacks defense. I guess I would be better off with a fast weapon for more shield procs, but I haven't been able to find one that wouldnt drop my char sheet dps tremendously.

I use quick recovery but it only lasts so long. When its not up, I'd have to be running. Dying isn't really a problem apart from the one instagib, but the fact that I have to pack so many potions and spend time running around just doesn't feel right.

I just did the beacon lighting quest in normal hades and got the Soul Shiver recipe though, guess even I can get lucky

Hades likes to cast the blob as his opening move. The blob has 8 projectiles each doing massive physical and vitality dmg. You will not survive it without dodging.

Figured out what was causing the instagibbing.. no more headless charging in :P

Edit: yeah thanks poinas, figured that out the hard way

Got some nice drops too, they made hades significantly easier.

Yeah, I guess that was the thing that instagibbed me earlier as well, seeing as how hades has a habit for casting it right as you enter melee range. Now I just wait 'till he casts the spell and move in right after that just to be sure.

With my Ranger it was a peace of cake. Just stood in the doorway ( with the gate open ) and used my wolfs to lure him forward. Then i just killed him without him getting a single hit against me.
