So strange how easy I found Hades on Normal compared to Epic. Before him I encountered his 3 generals, the Night's mistress (guardian of soul stone) and a Dactyl and all of those were harder than Hades himself. Is that true for all of you out there?

I just found out today how incredibly easy mostly anything becomes with a Monster Lure in Legendary. My lvl 52 Haruspex (first character past Act II Epic for me, so rather low-end gear...only purple is my spear) ran into the Hydra and didn't stand a chance (I guess -22% poison resist doesn't help), fight was over within a second. I was close to level and decided to get the level and put 3 points into Monster Lure (+4 hunting, so at 7 now). I went back and after 1 mistake (Monster Lure ran out, Hydra turned around and IKed me again) I took out Hydra within 2 minutes. If this is setting the tone for Legendary, Monster Lure gets my vote for best skill in the game. I can see Monster Lure combined with Volcanic Orb, Ice Shard, Squall, Scatter Arrow, Distory Reality and whatelsehavewegot own pretty much anything.

I actually haven't touched my battlemage in ages, he is my only character in legendary. I want to fight Hydra, but not sure if he's ready. I don't want to end up losing a lot of experience. But he was my first character and some of my newer characters go through the game better than him as I make less mistakes. My level 39 Harbinger has a higher DA than him even and he is level 59, almost 60 now. Oh well. I wonder how damn hard Cerberus will be on legendary.

I had particular trouble with Night's Mistress, much more so than with Hades.

It's just her projectile attack does do quite a fair bit of damage, plus she has gigantes guardians, and sometimes one of them is a monster hero. I remember how I had to retreat until one of them backs down and another will keep on chasing me, so I would only fight 1 at a time.

I just got train wrecked by epic hades on my guardian. I have almost 9K hp and 80% resists except relatively low lightning resistance(25ish) and only way I can kill hades is by running around and hitting him a few times and then running back. Even if I use colossus form and briar ward I still get smacked. I ended up using roughly 50 potions and he instagibbed me once from 6k health. Prior to this I had no trouble with other bosses and hadn't died once during the whole act 5.

What's the key for 'easy' hades? I tried maxing all secondary resistances except for bleeding, but that didn't seem to help. Also, is it worth farming him cos the run to him is so long?

Hades does vitality and physical damage. He will one-shot you with a red big blob he sometimes shoots in form 1. Stay in melee range as much as you can.

How many points do you have in Colossus? What's your DPS, and what weapon are you using? 50 potions is way too much.
