Thanks
![]() Sorry if these Q's have been answered before, just that I tried searching on assassin and its hard to sift through those posts to find good answers ![]() A few other questions I had, is there any site to lookup TQ items and stuff? Like an allakhazam.com for TQ? And anyone who can link to or suggest a good assassin build/stat distribution would really be helping me out ^^ Currently at Lvl 9 I've maxxed out calculated strike and got 4 points in flash powder, i hope this isnt a waste of points but if it is someone please say so quick! At least flash powder seems like a really useful skill for taking on large packs of mobs. Cheers again |

This is a good website for Char Planning Skills use this and post it here and i give you some advice, OK.
This Site also is OK items are outdated thoughgamebanshee It be better swapping to Onslaught in warfare mastery, that better than Calc Strike. |

TitanCalc by stonedonkey - A Titan Quest Calculator - Assassin
That's the kind of build I was thinking of (after your suggestion of dropping calc strike). The only problem is, do I have to create a brand new char to drop calc strike now? If so thats gona annoy me (just so you know I didn't install IT expansion yet, just been playing original TQ, so is there some sort of free skill change in IT or do you have to stick with what you got?) |

Looking good, although just 1 point into traps is pretty bad, you have to max it or pass it by completely really.
No dual wield? If you plan to go sword/shield, that's fine also, but I'd suggest taking Weapon training. Corsair is generally better as Sword/Shield rogue, you may get more mileage out of Dual Wielding swords as Blade Honing and Weapon Training both work on Swords, and War Wind deals damage as though you attack with the main weapon immediately followed by the sub weapon if you dual wield. Survival isn't an issue because your girl can just heal you.

No, you don't need to start over. In some cities there are Oracles (folks with a blue orb above them, in much the same way merchants have crossed swords or a bag with $), where you can "buy back" invested skill points. The procedure gets more expensive with every point bought (I think it goes up to 45k gold and starts at 100 or something). The first one encountered in the game is in Delphi IIRC.
Now, as for your build, here's what I would do: 1) max out Blade Honing (Rogue). Every point invested is worth it. 2) Max out Weapon Training (Warfare). The extra speed comes in really handy. 3) if you want Traps (Rogue), even as pure backup, invest at least one point in Rapid Construction and Improved Firing Mechanism. This will let you set traps just a bit faster, and they will be more effective with extra projectiles and passing through enemies 4) Flash Powder is a great crowd controller. One point will definitely help you out. And finally: install the expansion. From what I hear, the drop rate from bosses has been greately improved, increasing your chances for better items. Also, the expansion introduces plenty of new, neat equipment, so not installing it means you're missing out on a lot. Good luck, and welcome to the forum ![]() EDIT: Damn you, Infares, you beat me to it ![]() |

After I've played around with my own level 23 Assasin in China, I did some respec-ing, and I've found him to be a lot more succesfull like this:
My Assasin Build The Dual Wield line allows you to deal a TON of damage, AND it allows Calculated Strike to trigger TWICE as frequently. (it triggers every fourth attacks, and with Dual Wield maxed/close to max, u'r dishing out twice as many attacks than you normally would!) (try and get faster weapons if you can as well) That's the main reason why I choose that over Onslought, and it DOES make a differance! ![]() And Flash powder and Wor Horn are both MUST-HAVE's for this class, they saved me from dying endless times, do not neglect them! You want to be able to stay alive long enough for your gf to heal you, and things are getting tougher from Normal Orient and on. Other than that, your class seems just fine! ![]()

So your Assassin is now level 60?? That's what TitanCalc says...
Quote:
With Onslaught you get the +% Damage bonus every time you hit. Add to it the nice +attack speed (16% may not be much, but it's something) from Ardor, the great 15% pierce resistance (really handy on Epic and Legendary), Hamstring, which seriously slows your opponents down, and you've got yourself one neat skill. Shouldn't this be moved to either Warfare or Rogue areas?? |
