Yeah, just watch his movements. As soon as he raises his arms to perform a stunning scream, move away and he will miss. Once I began using that strategy I never died on him. And obviously it is easy to tell when he will be doing the snowfall attack, so as soon as he does that - move away from the spot you are standing on.

TYPHON
I didn't bother to read the entire thread because...well...that's a lot pages. :P So, I apologize if this has been mentioned already. The technique I use for Typhon is simple; Get to the last of the steps (that lead up to his circular area, stand on the far right side of the third step up. He will remain out of range for melee fighters but just equip that bow or ready that spell and have at him from afar. From here he can't hit you with the flames or the lightning and, obviously, can't reach you for melee damage. He CAN however still reach you with the poison, the falling rock and (of course) the life leech. When he comes at you he will be armed with life leech first. Be careful here. Life leech can tear a Ranger up REAL quick if they do lots of damage with a bow. I'd say a good 80% of his attack is going to be fire and lightning. As mentioned earlier, these cannot reach you so keep at him. When the poison shot comes be ready to heal. When the rocks come move to the bottom of the steps and to the far left. You'll avoid all of them and Typhon will reset back to the center of the circle (out of view). Go back to that third step, rinse and repeat. Easy easy easy. No running around, no serious threat. Easy. Even Legendary Typhon goes down easily enough with this method. Hope this helps, have fun ![]() |

That's just the long-ranged units though. Oh well, I guess most of my characters can't use this technique then.

If you kite in a circular fashion to keep them at the AoE epicenter, the Divine Scroll of Armageddon (Legendary) will reduce Mr. Charging Bull on Mt. Quiyun to about 2mm of life bar, and Typhon to maybe 1/3 life or less. Not a bad deal for about 1.5M GP.
(Just finished Legendary Typhon for the first time, so I don't know what Act 5 bosses it'll decimate)

HADES
Discovered this the other day when a friend of mine and I were trying to kill Hades on Legendary. Their were 3 of them and it wasn't looking good for the home team. We were just about to give up when I suggested we fall back and regroup. I began thinking about how I kill Typhon and decided that Hades had to have a similar "sweet spot"; a place that allowed you to do damage but remain out of harms way for the most part. Sure enough, the most obvious spot was just inside the crystalline doorway...and it worked. Again, I play a Ranger so this is all about bows and spells :P Open the crystal doorway and stand just inside. Aim for the top left corner of your screen and fire away. You might have to jockey up or down a bit to target him but you'll get it. You can walk quite a ways in before the doors will close. After you get him he'll come your way. All you have to do is back up out of the doorway. The crystals will come back up and Hades will have reset back to the original spot. Heal yourself and inch forward again. Do your damage and repeat the process. When Hades transforms keep at it...you can kill all three transformations of him in this way. I soloed all three of the Legendary Hades while my friend ate popcorn :P |
