My standard strategy with most bosses so far: Ancestral Horn, Call of the Hunt, throw down a Battle Standard, and proceed to smack the crap out of them. Works most of the time especially when I have massive % slow enemy attack. Haven't met Hydra yet though, so will see if it works on him too

Is the hydra a Legendary-only boss? I've seen (and killed) all the others, but I haven't hit Legendary yet (almost done with Epic). I must say, Talos was my nightmare. As a melee Warlock, I found my poison, bleed, and pierce powers to all be useless. Thank heavens for Nightshade.

You might want to update the Dragon Liche info to include that he frequently mind controls your pet.

It works, but by the time the standard wears out, you'll realise that you've barely scratched him. Oh and, getting bitten with 10% poison resist and 4.5k hp doesn't help unless you got the standard, so don't overestimate yourself.

I know I did

This map is completely empty - just you, Toxeus, and some treasure at the other end. I think I made the terrain a little bit too big (256x256). Toxeus is dead center. No pun intended...
Can anybody email me the file, or host it somewhere else? Rapidshare is being annoying and won't let me download it

It might be just me , but I found the hydra to be ridiculously easy.
That is with a conqueror , it can be quite nasty if you are not in melee range.
I even tried farming the thing , but never got anything good out of it.

All it takes is a capped poison resistance.
Then it's poison bite hurts , but most definitely doesn't kill , even without help from colossus or battle standard.
It also takes some patience , the thing has an absurd amount of life.

The other point that applies to all bosses , is that slowing makes them easy.
Their potential one-shots almost always have very lengthy and very distinctive animations , dodging them at half speed shouldn't be a problem.

Though there are still attacks , like the poison bite of the hydra , that just don't have the warning signs (it looks no different than a normal attack).
Bosses with attacks like that are the only ones that can give me any trouble.
