Strange "touchable" bell in some towns???

I was trolling around one or two of the towns in the normal TQ run and came across a couple of large bells with wooden scaffolding around them that highlighted when I hovered my mouse over them!?!?
It would appear that you can attack these but they arent destructible and serve no other purpose!?!?!

Anyone know why they were made "touchable" in the game??

They do have a purpose. They go "ding".

I think they just made them to make game more realistic. I don't think they have any other purpose.

You can also attack bow targets in Act 1, as well as dummy targets

In Act 2, there's a harmless obelisk that you can attack - it does break, but it won't do you any good or bad.

In Act 4, you can free captured souls, but this won't do anything at all.

All for immersion, I suppose.

If I have any pets, they usually beat me to it. But if I don't have any, then I hit it anyway.

Where are these bells?

One of them is in a small courtyard in front of the Chang'an gate.

Another is just before you enter Chang'an proper (where you are killing tigermen before opening the first set of gates) - and there may be a at least one more inside the city itself.

There's one in the Great Wall village, and also one in a little place just before the cave where Barmanu stole the ancient weapons.
