Question Obtaining Obsidian armor?

I got the head piece last night off a random mod inside a dungeon and found it to be pretty **** sexy looking and would like to farm the rest of the set. I know I will probably out grow the set soon but still I would like to get the complete set for kicks. I don't mind farming stuff like this since it's what I like to do.

Is there a good farming spot for getting the set or is it pretty much all over all the Act 1 areas with lvl +12 mobs? I don't mind the grind since I did this as well in D2 with green sets cause I am sort of a collector of sorts.

Thanks

Obsidian set items can drop anywhere in act 1 and act 2 normal (nowhere else), best choice of course are telkine-runs (if you're strong enough using xmax-mod).

However, it looks funny if worn be a sceleton -> click me.

Oh ok cool, wasn't too sure if I should venture out past Act 1 to get some more of the set. Thanks for the info.

It may take a long time. I was farming the minotaur boss and the telkine after him. Dozens of runs and not a single piece of Obsidian.

I also think it's a very cool looking set, and have 3 pieces (axe, helm, bracers).

Good luck. I finally found the axe and bracers in act 2, after finding tons of helms, legs, and chest pieces in act 1. Thats with running three characters through act 1's and 2 and stopping to farm certain bosses. In addition to farming with multiple characters, I also upped the chest drops and unique chances using defiler and it still took a while. I have several sets just missing one piece which I can't find (oracle, labryinithine, theban, jade palace, etc). It'd be nice to know which acts the set pieces will drop in so I don't waste my time looking in the wrong areas.

So certain areas drop certain pieces?

probably - not, definitely - yes :-)

there is some excel or pdf file that list all unique items and tells you where you can find it: which act(s) and which difficulty(ies)

don't have a link though, so you'll have to search for it on this forum

what you found is a list of what are the chances to get item of certain type from certain boss (and statistical times to finish one run of farming) - also a good list to have

this is what you wanted:

in the first post those attached files:
Uniques Akt.pdf
Uniques alphabetisch.pdf
