Depending on your ethical feelings (or lack thereof) you can download TQ defiler and enable a certain mod feature. This will make it so that almost every monster capable of equipping unique/legendary items does so and drops them upon dying. It's possible to get the entire set off one skeleton.
I was totally against using the mod for a while, but I got an error message for TQvault program and all the stuff I saved in it over a year of playing is now either lost or inaccessible. So I turned on the mod to recover from that, and it's amazing what I'm seeing drop, stuff I didn't even know existed after over 200 play hours.

Okay, I finally got a complete set of Obsidian armor today. Which brings up a question: the complete set does not include a shield. If I have a character with Dual-Wield, and I manage to find another axe from the set, will I get more bonuses by using the second axe?
I've got a funny feeling that I'm going to be the first one to answer this question, and it's going to take me a long time to find another axe. |

If you are a dual-wielder, and you find a second axe, you receive no further bonuses beyond that of a complete set. You CAN however bypass the complete set thing by dual wielding two axes and using ... what, 4 out of 5 armor pieces? Use a helm, chest piece and gloves and completely ignore the boots but use two axes.. you'll receive the full completion.

I've done it before.
Not quite with this set, but with Imperial armor, if you dual wield Yings or Yangs, you'll get a set bonus, two Alkes or Timaios', and you'll get a bonus. Silly little bug, but it can be exploited if you like. |
