- Spending skill points in masteries increase certain attributes.
- When you gain a level you normally get 2 attribute points. One attribute point either gives you a 25 increase in health/energy or a 4 increase in strength/intelligence/dexterity. So I say a reasonable comparison would be to break down the attribute values you get from maxing your masteries into Attribute Point Values (APV) For example, defense gives you 1600 health at 32skill points spent. That would've taken you 1600 / 25 = 64 attribute points to get. Note I'm only looking at the totals from maxing masteries. Now look at the pic. ![]() I just thought it would've been the same APV value for all the classes in order to balance it, guess I was wrong. Conclusions: 1) Defense gets the most value out of skill points spent in its mastery, as it's APV value is 92.8. 2) Hunter gets the crappest value of maxing as its value is only a mere 65.4. 3) Maxing a dream/defense build’s masteries would give you the most attribute point value; 4) and vice versa for an Earth/Hunter build. 5) etc etc Further notes: Healthiest build = Warfare/Defense Most energetic build = Storm/Nature 'Strongest' build = Warfare/Dream Most 'intelligent' build = Storm/Spirit Highest dexterity build = Hunter/Rogue That leaves only Earth in the middle of nowhere as its mastery doesn’t reach one of the highest values in an attribute like the other classes. Very nice. I've seen something similar to this in one of the FAQs on gamefaqs.com ages ago, but this is much more user friendly than that one was. Aw, poor Avengers.
Still don't understand why Earth gives so little energy.

![]() Interestingly: - Defense and dream got dropped down right to the bottom, lol. - Hunter jumps up to 4th place and Earth to 2nd! - Spending attribute points in health and energy is a waste concerning it's undervalued benefit gained from it. - Intelligence can get a max benefit of 96 points from a mastery, while Dexterity can get at most 80, but Strength only 64!? This explains the drop in Strength-based masteries on list... Notes: - Dream is the only class which mastery increases Strength and Intelligence. You might be better off making a Seer than choosing a secondary, lol (I wish). Example if you choose Warfare as your secondary you might have to spent your attributes points like 2 to Strength and 1 each to Intelligence and Dexterity - where Seer you can ignore Dexterity (supposedly according to the mastery). Strength & Dexterity classes: *Mostly you can just ignore intelligence altogether. *Mostly melee - Warfare - Defense - Rogue - Hunter Intelligence and Dexterity: *Mostly you can just ignore strength altogether. *Mostly ranged and caster - Spirit - Storm - Earth - Nature |

Wow! This one is quite a surprise.
In terms of grouping masteries, I usually like to do it like this: Str based: Warfare & Defence Dex based: Hunting & Rogue Int based: Storm & Earth Support: Nature & Spirit Balanced: Dream

Yes, Nature is definately a support mastery. If you go with only Nature, you will get no skills that benefit from high intelligence, nor will you get any skills that increase staff damage (thus, having to rely on intelligence, you'd be gimped as you would have to use a staff but have no skills that benefit it).
Thus, I think you're better off using Nature as secondary mastery. Dunno about Spirit though.. But from what I've seen of it it does mostly vitality damage (and thus doesn't really benefit from high intelligence, either). |

Which things can you summon anyway? because you might as well use those masteries and relax the whole way! I used to be a soothsayer with maxed out wolfy's and lich king and the whole game flashed away before my eyes. PS it gets extremely boring!

Nice summary. I'd have expected them to balance out the attributes.
You may want to check these numbers: I think Hunting gets 1120 health, Earth gets 96 int, and Defense gets 48 Strength. This could be wrong though, since I've installed the community patch and whatnot, and I'm not sure if they changed anything. Anyways, if those changed numbers are right, Defense and Earth change only a tiny bit, but Hunting moves up a lot on the table. |

very nice summary. Odds are if I didn't see this I would of been doing the samething *glares at the attriute sheet sitting on his desk*
On initial glance some classes are favored over others, but when it comes down to balance IMO (at least up to v1.15 of TQ, ) it worked.btw incase anyone is curious # of Skill pts total in a mastery Dream - 232 Warfare - 196 Defense - 202 Pyro - 246 Storm - 230 Hunter - 204 Rogue - 220 Nature - 256 Spirit - 232 interesting how Warfare has the least amount of skill pts involved
