Brimstone and Stone Skin

Are both these skills as bad as they look? Brimstone does some meager damage and Stone Skin gives you a small armor boost w/ some tiny fire resists. Are these skills just meant to be used by low levels and respeced later?

Yes those skills are real turds. But hey, at least you can use those skillpoints somewhere else.

I think both the skills are getting a boost in the next patch. Or at least they should as a lot of skills are being adjusted.
