Stone Skin

I was looking at stone skin. It gives 12 points of armor for 6 skill. I assume this is per piece of armor, so if I have 35 armor in the torso, it's now 47. Is that right?

Assuming it is, this doesn't seem like a great skill. During normal it is, because even with last act armor it's a pretty hefty increase. But from what I've read about legendary (not there yet<g>), you'll be hit for a 1000 points or more. 12 is meaningless in that situation.

Is there something I'm missing about stone skin?

fire resist helps..typhon has a painful fire breath attack that happens to be easy to avoid.

but yeah, you're not missing anything, it really is a waste of skill points.
