How to enhance classic Pyromancer?

Morning all,

I have just got to Epic Egypt with my classic Pyromancer(lvl 35), by classic I mean Core Dweller - Volcanic Orb - Fire Staff. Dealing around 600 average damage at the moment, but I'm feeling as though I'm going to start struggling pretty soon. Only have ~120 STR........
My idea was to squeeze as much fire-power out of this guy as possible before having to choose a second mastery.
How can I boost his damage further?
Which mastery will boost his fire damage?
Where's the kettle?

Hi,

I think that Storm mastery would help..Wisp + Eye of the storm (= +elemental damage) and Squall with Obscured visibility (= reduce resistances)..and also Storm nimbus tree will boost your damage (not fire though).

The only thing I don't understand, is why you put any points in strength? I would suggest putting most of your points in intelligence if you want your damage high as much as possible.

I saw some green armour that increased elemental damage by more than the increase in intelligence would have, hence the points in strength.

I'm thinking about Storm for the + elemental damage. It will take me an age to get the Wisp though.

Yeah it takes... )) but if you start for a good way...

That armor can be better but did you consider mana regeneration from intelligence? And you also need some dex for mage items..and if you spend too many points in str and dex, where will you get those points for intelligence requirements on items? And what about health and mana? You don't have so many points...

I know that more suitable armour would help a lot, but it's a case of what I can find.

I would suggest increasing your speed for higher damage and that pierce resistance...how could you get so far?? Do you have any screens of that supreme green armor you were talking about? Or what's its stats? I mean requirements and the fable damage?

I don't seem to have it anymore................. It did ~12% fire damage, and I really wanted to wear it.

As soon as I can get rid of that Druid's stuff, I will. You think I should try for +Earth stuff? What about those Stonebinder's Cuffs everyone goes on about?

Only +12% and you're doing such a fuzz about it?? I wouldn't waste any point in strength for this if I were you..yeah, yeah..but I'm not..

Stonebinder's Cuffs? I'm not really sure I can recall now..does they increase elemental damage and are green?

You could try to find something from Pyromancer's Guard set on early difficulties..or if you take strength path try finding something from Firewalker's Suit set..there is many Bracelets or something with very high increase of elemental damage.
