State of the Game - October

Hello Everyone,

Figured it was about time for another update. Hopefully all of you were able to find the forums at their new home one titanquest.net and we didnt loose too many members of the community in the process.

A lot of people have been asking what we have been up to here at Iron Lore and what the plan is moving forward with Titan Quest. The good news is that we are hard at work making sure the wheels of progress here are turning. The bad news is that I can't talk about any of it yet. We should have some pretty big announcements though in the upcoming months - but thats all I am going to say about that for the time being...

In general the patch feedback we have received from 1.2 has been pretty positive. We have made note of all the praise and complaints. We are continuing to look into ways to optimize performance issues and are beginning to compile a list of new balance feedback and suggestions.

Titan Quest continues to be selling strong - especially in Europe. It has recently gone on sale in Japan and is reported to be doing well there as well. We also recently completed work on localizations for the game in Russian, Czech and Polish. Also for those tied to the game industry or for those that happen to read Game Developer magazine we have a feature story in the October issue which is a postmortem. It discusses in great detail the "what went right" and "what went wrong" with the production of Titan Quest. Some of you may find it to be an interesting read.

So thats where things are at the moment. As always I will let everyone know more as soon as I can. Until then keep on hacking and slashing...
