Question to Devs on Multiplayer and Stash.

Devs,

With the Gold version, is is possible to set up a Dedicated server to load a multiplayer game. Then join the server with one character, dump items on the ground, disconnect and join with the second character to pick those items up?

If your question is "Will I be able to exchange items to other characters" then the answer is yes.
The way in which this is done is unknown afaik but then again it seems rather unimportant to me.

It was mentioned somewhere that they might add a stash in the first addon that can be accessed by all of your characters.
I dont think there will be anything in the current gold version to achieve the wished effect, though. It will certainly be possible to write an external editor that can be used to transfer Items between two character. An easy-to-hex Character file can have its advantages.
Generally, it would be a nice thing to have, although it is not as important as in a game that offers a closed server system, imo.

Im sure I saw something posted about being able to move items around amongst characters, especially if u are lanning, just give an item to a friend, d/c then r/c and get it back. It will be possible, how easy, I am not sure.
