Default Unless this game is a one way trip; lack of cam rotation is affecting gameplay

I just did something I never did before.

I started a new game from Sparten with my Hunter, and I think the build was pretty impressive, love making mobs fly up in the air with one arrow. LOL

Anyway, since I was traveling south, or towards the bottom of my screen, I was getting eaten alive by mobs I couldnt target, because I wasnt close enough.

This is a huge reason to allow cam rotation. I went thru a few potions, just to get close enough to the mobs so I could see them on my screen.

Devs, please, let us have this. this may start to be a deal breaker for me and may affect my purchase.

I have also seen another forum where someone said something very similar, about this being a critical thing for that poster.

I was willing to not let it affect me, but I'm thinking this game was meant to travel always toward and upward motion and that is extremly limiting.

Thanks much,

S

Shift-click allows you to fire arrows without targeting a creature specifically.

Yes I know that, doesnt really help. I shouldnt have to blind fire any enemy that I face in a direct southernly direction of my monitor.

<kidding>But south isn't the bottom of your monitor since the sun rises on the left side (watch the morning shadows) of the screen so that must be east and therefore the bottom of your monitor is north.</kidding>

Really, it does rise on the wrong side though.

I see your point, but this example was how it is affecting gameplay. People are going to have to keep this in mind when creating missions/modules with the editor as well.

I can fight with 100% effeciancy if I go up, but less than that when I go down. That inconsistancy should not be in today's PC game.

there is an alternative though, give an option to unlock the forced center position for our character. Even just one screen lenght away, that will solve 99% of these issues.

Yea thats it. I want devs attention. Please.. continue to say "no offense" doesnt make it right to offer up such outlandish opinions of my motives for starting a seperate topic on an issue, that is yes, caused no cam rotation.

But this topic is focused on what happens when you are going backwards facing the mobs from another direction than was orginaly intended.
