Default Name the character builds...

Hello everyone,

I think we as a community should come up with some standard names for
each combination of skill trees. For example:

Gladiator: Warfare + Defense
Assassin: Warfare + Rogue

If we could find names that everyone is willing to agree on, it would
save a lot of typing when describing our characters.

The eight skill trees are: Defense, Earth, Hunting, Nature,
Rogue, Spirit, Storm, Warfare.

I heard someone say that there are 20 possible combinations
(if we don't care in which order you chose the two trees),
but I calculate more like 28 combinations.

Please post your suggestions in this thread.

There are already preset names for each combination. If you change a part of the character file that says "masteriesAllowed" to 02, you can select 2 of any of the 8 masteries (even locked ones) This will let you then determine the name for each (the only one I can remember off of the top of my head is: Elementalist = Earth + Storm Masteries). I'll get the rest when I get home tonight in 4 hours

Oh yeah. About the class combinations. There are 28 if you don't count single class characters (and why would you since that character would just be weaker than someone with a maxed class and powerful second). Also, since you can only master 1 of those 2 classes, if you switch the order of maxed classes, you double the number of classes to 56 (ie. Maxed Rogue + Notmaxed Warfare vs. Notmaxed Rogue + Maxed Warfare)

Warfare + Nature = "Champion" Warfare + Spirit = "Spellbreaker"
Warfare + Earth = "Battlemage" Warfare + Storm = "Thane"
Warfare + Rogue = "Assassin" Warfare + Hunting = "Slayer"
Warfare + Defense = "Conqueror"

Nature + Spirit = "Soothsayer" Nature + Earth = "Summoner"
Nature + Storm = "Druid" Nature + Rogue = "Illusionist"
Nature + Hunting = "Ranger" Nature + Defense = "Guardian"

Spirit + Earth = "Conjurer" Spirit + Storm = "Oracle"
Spirit + Rogue = "Warlock" Spirit + Hunter = "BoneCharmer"
Spirit + Defense = "Spellbinder"

Earth + Storm = "Elementalist" Earth + Rogue = "Magician"
Earth + Hunter = "Avenger" Earth + Defense = "Juggernaut" (and it is)

Storm + Rogue = "Sorcerer" Storm + Hunter = "Sage"
Storm + Defense = "Paladin"

Rogue + Hunter = "Brigand" Rogue + Defense = "Corsair"

Hunting + Defense = "Warden"
And if someone is interesed, the single classes are
Warfare = "Warrior"
Nature = "Wanderer"
Spirit = "Theurgist
Earth = "Pyromancer"
Storm = "Stormcaller"
Rogue = "Rogue"
Hunting = "Hunter"
Defense = "Defender"

Have you actually played the game as each of those classes?
From what I have read so far, I was planning on building a Battlemage when I get the retail version, but your comment about the Juggernaut has made me uncertain.
I guess I will find out a lot more when the game is released, but what have you found to be the best combination that you have tried? Are you going to build Juggernaut with the retail?

umm . Juggernault .... If I call it : tank , you'll easy to realize what it is : Strong def and Lot of HP .

Yeah, I know what a Juggernaut is.
I was just hoping to get some insight on the best class combination from someone who seems to have played all the classes.

As we all seem to only play the demo that's pretty pointless. As soon as you start maxing out your skills the enemies in that demo won't stand the slightest chance.. no matter which class you go for. I don't think that serious playtesting is an option at this point.

Well.. In demo , you can hack char file to get skill point and get 2 masteries. But in fact , because is a demo , so some skills don't have true power or true effect ( like summon skill, or some .. odd skill ). And we can only test this skill on low lvl mobs , so what extractly effect it has on higher lvl mobs or on pvp .. we don't know . Just some figures of DPS , HP , .. and guessing .

I've tried every one of the classes so far. I must admit that the Juggernaut is Awesome! There's this skill on the Defender side that when maxed (with enhancements above it as well), if you cast the Earth Enchantment "Stoneskin", your health (if about 1000) shoots right up to full It's awesome! However, I think I'll run an Earth/Spirit "Conjurer"my first run with the full game. I can't wait until I can play the game legitimately for more than 2 hours
