After playing the DEMO i decide to make a little review of this wonderful game, here comes my full feedback:
The moment you enter TQ DEMO World, you'll notice the beatiful engine GFX and very nice enviroment sound. You'll requested to save a greek villager's horse and, at the moment you hit the first monster, you'll just react like:
"LOL! What the f***! WOOOOOONDERFUL ragdoll physic!"... and you'll find yourself alread addicted in killing monsters for fun and enjoyng the Diablo-like gameplay, but with real cool GFX.
Feedback:
*excelent GFX;
*excelent ragdoll physics (fun factor to keep you killing);
*cool character/enemies animation (running, slashing etc...);
*good sound and very good sound effects;
*cool gameplay (fast paced and fun like diablo series);
*no blood - no gore; =..(
*its a full 3D engine, but no camera rotation (i've no problem with that);
*greek villagers accent help you getting more immersed in the game;
*for a game so beautiful, i found a very poor interface on it (mainly on inventory, i hope they changed it for final release);
*no sort-itens functionality in inventory (hope this can be changed for final release);
*nice lighting effects;
*skill tab seems to be fair and functional (i only missed fireball for pyromancer);
*i tried to hide myself (behind a rock) from the Satyr-Magi's fire shots, but i get hitted anyway, like there wasn't any rock at all (???);
*no stash;
*nice feeling on the "what you see is what you get" drop system;
*NPC's doesn't have much self-movements with them, but it's not a big problem;
Well, after killing a bigger Satyr Magi (shaman) you'll head to Sparta, keep killing and looting, will encouter some skeletons, birds etc. and, if you look the entire map, you'll find a Cave...
Feedback:
*wonderful and "heavy" shadows/transparency effects (inside the cave);
*cool "day-to-light" enviroment;
*i dont know how, but my sword disappeared from my avatar's hand (now he makes a invisible-sword-slash! lol) - bug;
*nice (but not UBER) fire effects (no body-burn);
*poor ice effects (since you dont get slowed down or freezed by its effects);
*very cool animation on skeletons/birds death;
*very nice water effects;
*nice effects/funcionality on the shrines;
*with a sword/shield you'll certaily miss the "shield block" and the "shield block sound" from Diablo, if you get hitted by sword or arrow you just wont get the "block" feeling;
*with bow, i missed the "arrows on body/shield" and "arrows on enviroment";
*the engine is capable of handle distant lands in a very precise and eyecandy way;
Final part of the demo, you'll find yourself fighting against some Centaurs and a bigger/very cool Centaur as final boss for Demo release.
Feedback:
*just feel again how cool the ragdoll physics works (try a centaur!)... FUN! FUN! FUN!;
*not very much advanced AI system (specially for bosses);
*i found enemies in TQ Demo very weak and easy to kill, they just don't care very much about being killed by your avatar (hope the enemies were weakened in Demo version and will be stronger/smarter on final release!).
Hey dudes, don't make mistakes here! TQ is a wonderful and must-have game for any HnS RPG fan, it has some minor bugs and aspects that should be raised (perhaps in final release but if not, hope it will with patches), but it's still a game with incredible potential to became the next true HnS RPG experience that we, players, have asked for since Diablo series!
PLAY IT!!!
