Default Hunter tree

Ive played the hunter tree and tried to understand what all the skills does and so. I cant find any of theese simular skills that was so lovely when you played an Amazone in diablo2, Multi shot = loads of arrows at same time or Strafe = Pumping 10 arrows to the nearest targets, guided arrow= arrow that automaticly seeks its target. I think you get what i want to tell, moore cool lots of arrows at same time skills to the hunter tree!

Sorry for my bad english.

Edit: BTW VEERY NICE GAME Just buff the hunter tree

Hm, this is only a demo. You can't expect to create a succesfull powerfull lvl 6 character in each mastery.
The sorcereress in D2 was also a bit sucky at lvl 6-10. But became succesfull later.

But yes, the other skills also concern me a little. I also would love to see some multishot or other masskilling-magics.
We will see in real game. We havn't seen the other skills in action yet.

If you mean one shot one life yes. A hunter with only hunter mastery as skill.
With that skill you get to fire three times faster and the speed of the arrow is also increased. Anyway it will be the first class i will play in the final version of the game .

that skill won't drain your energy VERY fast? THought it consumes energy per shot or something..

Indeed it uses energy per shot. However, it doesn't use that much energy though, and puting some energy/intelligence points and wearing one or two energy regeneration items should allow you to use it permanently

There's also one skill (too high level to be available in the demo) that fires several shots at one target (well from the description). I miss a multishot skill though

First upgrade to Marksman skill gives a chance to pass through enemies, and the second one makes the arrow burst on impact, sending out 3-4 fragments on first lvl. So, if it sends fragments out on every enemy it hits, it can only be a cool skill Combine that with some elemental enchanments, and I think I'll have fun with Hunter

I got an idear, at least for the demo, i will try to lvl up to 6 and there should be the last mobs and boss left to kill and i will save game before taking any skills, so this way i can test each of the skills to there fullest.

Lvl 6 is not much to work with but it will give a better idear of how each skill works when at its fullest power, i dont think i will do every possibility but there is a few of them i just want to see, as i no earth the weapon enchant skill and one above that really rock and send the mobs flying so im curious to see if there is other added bonuses that have nothing to do with actual damage but just add to the excitement of the kill.

Big hugs,
Lestai

Copy your char file rather than saving, as chars are nearly permanently saved even when not using the save function (said by the devs in another thread, there's numerous events that trigger the autosave, and I'm sure picking skills is one, and they put the save option mainly for anxious people who like to have one )

Edit: you might want to try (although it might be quite hard) to wait before puting attributes points, as a true Earth mage (eg. focusing on spells and not on the fire enchantment) will use intelligence and dext, a Hunter will mainly focus on dexterity for bow and spear use, as well as increasing piercing damage, and increasing block, while a meleer will focus on strength and a bit of health .

We have a couple die-hard hunter players at the company. They generally invest in spear skills early on and then move over to bow later as it ramps up more slowly. Bow becomes quite lethal later in the game.

It is correct that when shotting with marksmanship, puncture shot, and scatter shot, arrows will send out fragments each time they puncture an enemy. There is also a skill called "Volley" that will cause three arrows to be fire in one shot. So now you have 3 arrows that can each puncture enemies and send out fragments. Add Envenom Weapon, Earth Enchantment, or Storm Nimbus to that and you have a deadly combination.
