Default Two bad things

- You can't walk when the map is open
- Item's name appears only when it touch the ground (when you push ALT), and not when it's falling from the mobs.

Edit two more :
- you can't arrange all the inventory with only one button
- you must slide an item in the good place to equip it. Double-clic on the item should equip it automatically !

Exactly the problems i was planning on posting.

1. Any fast paced hack and slash game needs a see threw, click threw map. The way the map currently works is very unhandy. Please make it so that you can see threw it, and click "threw" it, like in diablo.

2. Again on the fast paced. Everything goes really quick, but you have to wait just a little too long to see the loot (using alt). It just a minor point, but it does bother.

3. Yup, auto-arrange button.

But aside of that, the game rocks, thnx guys .

The game is just what I expected. Very good.
I find it difficult to sort out the good items, but I guess it is because I am used to D2 (where I knew every single name). Also the map gives me trouble.. but again.. I just need to get used to it.

Have any of you noticed:
If you zoom in, then it is difficult to play (because you can't see anything)
If you zoom out, then you miss all the nice graphics.

I always play pretty much "zoomed out".. so it is just a pitty that I miss many of the details.

Yeah, the inventory window is not that fine and fast-paced, I wonder why I can't equip items without a drag and drop.

To add a comment about what lacks in gameplay, I must say I really don't like the text windows (besides its ugliness) which you can't close when all the text has been shown (you must get away to see it fade). And the text display is slow with a boooorriiing scrolling.

As for the inventory as well, the default way new items add in, and the fact that it doesn't rearrange automaticaly when there's space left but not arranged in the right way for the item to fit is quite a pain (items always add horizontally first, it would be more efficient considering the dimensions of the inventory and the items to at least add them verticaly first by default ).

Considering the map, I wonder why Iron Lore did this step back from the press test versions, where you could move while the map was opened (not very easily on low resolutions, as you had no space around the map though ). Same thing with merchants (when you moved too far from a merchant, the merchant dialog closed, now you can't move and shall close the window first). Allowing to move the map (not have it always centered) would prolly be a first step, at least for big resolutions (and of course letting players move again while map opened). Though, it might be a better solution to keep that big map not transparent a la D2, but let people increase more the size of the mini map in the top right corner, as well as move the focus inside it (like you could change the focus of the minimap in D2 so that it's no longer centered on your char).

Yeah Napo, noticed that for the zoom thing. However on big resolution (1600x1200) you can play a little bit zoomed and view as much as zoomed out in 1024x768 .

What buggers me as well is the text size on big resolutions: too small on 1600x1200, as you can't increase the size of the text. Would be a good addition as well.

Edit: almost forgot about items and inventory. As conrad said, we need to be able to equip an item with double click. Moving items in the inventory could use drag and drop instead of "click, move, click" (if you drag and drop an item in a blank space, it does nothing, if on another item you get the item on your mouse, or eventually it automaticaly swaps if there's enough room). An auto-reorganize feature would be even nicer though

Exactly the prob i was having but i could not find the words to describe it so just mention the camera needed more work. But i really did feel i was missing out on the detail but at same time i needed to see more of the map as archers and stuff i needed to see were they was at so had to play zoomed out and got that top down feeling.

You hit that nail on the head napoleon, ty

Big hugs,

Yup, camera view for me is the only bad point I can come up with. It's too top down when both zoomed out and zoomed in. I want to be able to lower the camera and angle it a bit more forward, THQ guys.

I will have to double check, but I believe we re-enabled movement with the map window open several weeks ago. I will have to confirm when I am back at the office - but I am pretty sure the game will ship with that feature.

I have confirmed that - the final Release version will allow movement with the map up.

Hello ~V~,

Is there any way to ask the Dev's about the ability to "rotate" camera angles?

I just read that it was originally in the game but taken out? Is that correct?

Perhaps it could just be re-enabled or a toggle on/off.

Seems like this is the issue that the vast majority name as a problem. Hopefully something can be done before the game ships!

Thx & Regards
