From patch notes:
"Changed Pulverize and Disable damage bonus from percent to absolute" Since we know that % is definitely better, on higher levels, than absolute, what I wanna know is if now these 2 skills are to be ignored. Thx. |

Both skills are weakend by changing the added dam from % to absolute.
Pulverize still let's you hit 3 targets and Disable still will slow enemies' attacks, both helpful effects imho. For me the damage was just the icing on the cake all the time anyways, so they're far from useless imho. rgz, TDR

All shield attacks hit for weapon damage + shield damage + any bonus from the skill + all modifiers from strength and items.
What is weak about that? Any of the 3 will do easily over double your normal attack damage. Even better , the upgraded shields do comparable damage to maces , but they don't affect attack speed in any way. The flat damage bonus given now is base damage , it gets amplified by your strength and all the +%dmg items you have. Depending on how many flat damage boni and % boni you have from other sources (and on the base damage of your weapon + shield) the new skills can be A LOT stronger than the old ones. Actually , as it is , shield attacks do a hell of a lot more damage than DW moves. Unless the dual-wielder maximizes synergies between the 2 weapons that is.

The increase in sheild damage is really quite signifigant. I have a Conqueror in epic, before patch his sheild dealt 44 damage. Now it deals 107 damage.

Seeing as these are shield %procs that fire quite frequently (if all maxed), they could use to be nerfed a bit. As 2 above posters said, you still get weapon AND shield damage, and the area of effect/distribution of attack mods (stun/slow/etc.) still makes them more than worthwhile!

That's all a bunch of numbers not taking into account the changes to monster hp etc. In real testing I would say the only difference felt was vs bosses which have loads of hp. The rest die like they always did...running!
