Default conqueror and druid

this is my first post here and im relatively new to the game...., that said:

a friend of mine and I are planning on playing the game all the way to legendary typhon together... right now we are thinking about me going conqueror and him going druid (so far im still full defense and hes full storm so we still have some options)

the problem is i hear so much about the "overpoweredness" of druids that I fear at higher levels he will be doing all the killing with me only getting one charge in at each fight which will make the entire undertaking much less fun for the both of us :S

i might switch some stuff around to maybe get ancestral horn, with a lot of -recharge% colossus + ah sounds deadly

any suggestions/criticism/thoughts?

I got a conquerer (now lvl61) through legendary , but that was solo.
Anyway , some thoughts.

At lower levels you might want to invest in armor handling.
Eventually you will need a high str for weapons anyway , but the absorbtion bonus is always helpful.
I still have it maxed.

Inspiration is very nice to have maxed.
Not only does rally pay for itself , allowing you to have it on as much as you can , but it can make up for the colossus form energy drain.
And it will make up for some of the massive skill use you will need to survive legendary.
Potions can work , but they have a cooldown and you'd rather save that for health potions.

Quick recovery is a lifesaver.
Combined with a legendary shield and focus , for that nifty 100% block rate , it can make most grunt-level mobs irrelevant.
I can stand in the middle of 5 plain legendary tigermen and they will have trouble doing any damage , as long as they don't crit (they never do with a 1000 DA).
Which is nice , since it allows me to better focus on their bigger friends.

I didn't find rend worth maxing.
It adds some damage , but you will outgrow it.
What's 30 extra damage when you can do 1000 dmg per hit?
I still have one point in batter and rend and it still is my right click.

War Horn shouldn't require maxing , since it apparently works with the bonus from concussive blow (+40% duration).

Battle standard is great , it can make even bosses hit like girls , but is a pain in the a** to use.
Mainly because it has a delay until it's effects work and (usually) monsters can kill it before that.
It works fine if you set it up and lure monsters to it.
And it's beautiful against bosses , as long as you can keep their attention , though it might still die from stray AoE attacks.

Ancestral Horn... how should I put it? ... It sucks.
I have it at lvl10 and those warriors don't survive more than 5 seconds against anything when I'm not tanking for them.
I've pitted them against all sorts of legendary trash mobs 5-vs-5 and they always lose as long as the mobs are not very weak (like satyrs).
Bosses kill them very fast , some can even kill all 5 in a single hit (think Talos's foot stomp).
The only reason I keep them is that (as long as I tank for them) they ensure that a boss will die within the duration of colossus.
But you won't need that with a partner.

Of course none of the above matters if your partner gets strong enough to kill the screen in 0.1 seconds.
