My girlfriend and I were happily playing TQIT, I have TQ: Gold retail US DVD, and she got a digital version from Stardock. I got the fan patch for us, and installed it on my version, but for hers it says it can't find the game, even if I give it the path, put the patch installer in the folder with Tqit.exe, etc. After poking around with it for awhile, I decided to back it all out in order to just keep playing together, but the game now says that our versions are not compatible when we try to join each other's games.
I have gone so far as to completely uninstall TQ, deleting the THQ folder after the game was uninstalled, and reinstalling to TQIT on my computer. This should have, I thought, put us back where we were when we started playing together, as her DDL version was compatible with my DVD version without any patching or updating at all.
I don't really care if we're patched or not at this point, I just want us to be able to keep playing together. Any solid advice on solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at the thread
here a little too late, unfortunately, because I already uninstalled it on my girlfriend's computer and am now waiting on Stardock to re-download the entire thing. I selected "download and archive" this time to hopefully avoid any delays in reinstalling for whatever reason in the future, but this is our first and only download experience with Stardock. Hopefully reinstalling it after having completely uninstalling it will get us compatible again.
