fanpatch help

I've recently heard that a lot of the bugged skills and items were fixed with the fan patches. So I wanted to try it myself...

Problem is, I'm pants at tinkering with anything technologically advanced >.< (2 reformats can attest to that) so the question is, how can I install the patch and will it affect mods that can be put in the game?

Installation is easy - it comes with its own installer...

And it affects some mods but most work fine. I think if you did a search you'd find a list of compatible mods somewhere.... but maybe I'm imagining that....
