Exclamation Patch Issues w/ Steam

Well, I guess the first issue I'm having is, where do I put the files from the FanPatch?

Titan Quest and the Immortal Throne don't really have a THQ folder created when it's downloaded from the Steam server. I'm reluctant to just unzip the files and let them float around on my desktop.

Is there a applicable folder for which I can put the files in?

I bow down to all of your superiority and boxed versions! *bow*

Please and thank you!

Oh well, close enough. Ehm... may I ask what happens if you let the installer run? It should automatically find the location and offer to update the patch. Normally, you don't have to move the installer around. It just searches your computer.
When I let the installer automatically run it, it attempts to drop the files here...C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop...

Which of course isn't the correct location. Steam is located in a separate Drive, and ... ran a *search* of the Steam folder for anything 'titan' related.

Located the folder...:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\titan quest

Now I guess the question is, do I just drop the files from the patch, into the the main 'titan quest' folder or would it be better to drop it elsewhere.

Sorry.

Do you have the extracted files? I could tell you were to put them manually..
Most of the files (if not all, I'm still trying to figure that out, since the one who made the installer is gone) only affect data inside the Titan Quest Immortal Throne folder.

Ok, in your root Titan Quest Immortal Throne directory, the resources folder goes into the Database folder.

Engine.dll, Tqit.exe, TqitD (TqitD is for D2D users) and Game.dll go into the Titan Quest Immortal Throne root directory. The others (lame.dll, lidget.dll. lirect3D.dll, lngine.dll, and TqitRand can be ignored, but just in case for future patch issues, you might want to put them in the root directory too.

Also, you're missing a bunch of files - almost all fixes are located in database.arz, a file you do not have...

Perhaps placing the installer withing your TQIT directory and running it will work?

Otherwise we're going to release a new patch in a few days and I want to make a 1.1 - 1.16 installer, perhaps that'll work for you.

Followed these instructions...

Just extract the contents of the zip into your Immortal Throne directory (Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\).

Doing so will add files to your installation directory, and overwrite these files:

Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Database\database.arz
Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Resources\Text_EN.arc
Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Resources\XPack\Quests.arc
Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\engine.dll

Obviously, back up those files before installing the new patch.

Also, the engine.dll replacement is only to display the new version number. You don't have to use if you don't want to; it's not necessary for any other part of the patch.
And didn't have any issues.
