I think Triumph also works. Some tigermen drop battle standards with Triumph and I saw my damage decrease by a little. From 889 to 662. And for some reason, 710 sometimes too (in the transition I think).
Well, I'd like to congratulate Shadowlich, Ganelon and Guardianwarrior on that one.

So far your installer is doing rather fine, luedtke.

Edit: btw, I think the best way to figure out if some stuff is working correctly, is playing in pvp mode - that way you should be able to see what portion of your armor/damage/resistance/etc is reduced, right?

one would think so at least thats what i would do.
also noticed i missed two fixes and two were not working i updated the installer they seem to work for me now. edited my last post check it for details.

well then i've gone through and checked all the fixes to date and they work for me with the most resent installer so hopefully we can get a few more people to test the crap out of it. just to make sure i didn't overlook anything.

i'd also like to apologize right away if it get annoying with me constantly updating it, but i'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to releasing something to the general public. witch im told isn't always a bad thing

i have a possibly dumb question, i ran across the brain cleave (epic) item dbr and its named u_n_braincleave.dbr now unless i'm just misunderstanding their naming format shouldn't it be u_e_braincleave?

nameing format is n = normal, e = epic, and l = legendary.... correct?

at least thats what it looks like from all the other items and stuff in the DB

Heh, well, I appreciate your efforts. I appreciate all efforts being done to getting this patch out, by the way.

I'm sorry to report that I can't help you on the braincleave thing.

Edit: I was wondering, is there any way we can change the starting screen of the game? Currently it says "vTQIT v1.1". Would be cool if we could change that to "vTQIT v1.2beta"

Update:
Updated the OP somewhat, removed the Frenchies part (the current beta patch is much better and we've got almost all fixes they had) and promoted luedtke's installer from prepatch to beta patch. Hopefully that'll attract some testers.

There's still some fixing needed, but we've got some major improvements right now.

Great job.

Concerning "u_e" and "u_n" in fact that's just a truth you discovered.
You do have normal uniques, mostly in normal mode.
Epic or Legendary is just a "commercial" term for naming uniques.
In fact you have:
- normal unique => blue
- epic unique => blue and purple (example of helm: Athlon)
- legendary unique => purple

To correct a text you must edit the "Text_EN.arc" (if I'm not wrong, it's the case for this item no?).

@Ganelon (2 days ago post answering): you're not altering one's work, you did the right modification to make it work on a regular installation. In fact finally there's no problem with Templates in french version, it's just my personal path that was "Templates.IT" because I installed separately the Templates from the original TQ in "Templates.TQ".
Now I work with the Templates given by Devs in a folder with the right path and all is working perfectly with your files and GW's ones and everybody's.
Once builded the database contains the whole thing and do not need to have the template file installed.

The great thing about frequent updates, is that if players don't want to update frequently, they don't have to, but can if they want to.

Some people feel that frequent updates "forces" them into a lot of work. I disagree.

The naming convention for dbrs (seen only in ArtManager or other out-of-the-game editing) is based on which Difficulty the item is likely to fall, not what quality it is shown as in the game.

There's still the problem with Schlilsh's Skinner (MI sword of the swamp Anourans). The bleeding damage it does is messed up across the difficulties.

And about Aspis the Bull shield: Maybe it was intended to do 50% chance of 1 second stun retaliation? Makes sense to me because most bulls in the game have a stunning attack with their horns...

@Soranor & KonataEx, I put your bug reports in the not (yet) fixed bug list.

I'd prefer to leave the Aspis Bull shield as it is. Imo, it's of a later concern.
