This could be a problem with the regular game but it still cost me a good item. Smite and myself had done the 5 crystals quest in Hades and the charm I got was something like 10% physical defense and +1 to all skills. I mistakenly tried to use it in my helm which was already socketed with a gem and it made the sound of it working and the gem with +1 to all skills disappeared and the one that was already in the helm was retained.

I'm sure this could have been prevented if I reclaimed the helm before I tried to socket the new item but it seems like it should warn you if you already have an item socketed or simply not let you.

That's weird.. can anyone confirm that?
Also, could you perhaps try to socket it again to find out if it's limited to certain combinations or if it always applies?

Just try to socket it with some crappy relic charm or part thereof.

Just tried to put a completed legendary crystal over a legendary vinyl growth and it wasn't allowed.

perhaps it's limited to the Erebus crystal... I've heard such a thing before.

Anyone care to try it with a (copied) Erebus Crystal? If noone volunteers I'll do it, I think I got some crappy versions saved.

Might depend on what its socketed with also. My Erebus crystal was rejected.

Any mods enabled? Specifically Relics/Charms in Uniques, Relics/Charms in All, and Relics/Charms are Relative.

Crud, I bet that's it. I have 'Relics/Charms are Relative.' enabled.

Is there a way to recreate an Erebus charm with those attributes or have I lost it for good?

I actually may have gotten something right for once

EDIT: To recreate the charm use TQVault (if you have another character with that charm). You only need 1 part of the Crystal, and you can choose your completion bonus

Sorry to all. The fix method of BUG_DRP_001 in my files is incorrect. It's affect monsters, not only chests. The corresponding original dbrs should be restored.
