Question How you are transferring items between characters?

HI.
I would like to know how you, guys, are transferring the items between characters without having a friend for this purpose.
In Diablo u can create a game, playing for 5 minutes in it and after, u can get out and entering with a diff character in the same game, but in TQ i think the game disappear immediately after u leave it.
I ve heard about something "titanvault" - i dont know if the name is corect., or maybe there are other methods.
So far, i am entering into games, asking if i can transfer items in that game, drop the items on the ground and come back with another character...but is a very risky way.

Please help.

i dont know if this is the part of this forum for this kind of questions....if not, maybe a mod will help me to move it in that area (my first post

thanks in advance for yr help.

Hello,

Since you've already heard about TQ Vault, why dont you search the forum for a anwser, instead of asking to get given one.

To save you all that hard work of using a search, heres a link:

BTW, keep in mind it has not yet been updated for V1.15 use yet, and when / if you do start using it, be sure to let Bman know just how much his work rules!

Thumbs up Re: How you are transferring items between characters?

Good luck angelwraith!

I also use TQ Vault...just be sure to follow the steps and you should be ok.

Here's the steps to follow to update to the new patch.

1.) Uninstall TQ
2.) Reinstall TQ
3.) Patch to version #1.11 ( http://ocs.thq.com/patches/titanques...101_to_111.exe )
4.) Run TQVaultMon
5.) Load TQ
6.) Your characters should be viewable/playable. Load each character all the way into the game, and exit to the main menu. This will save them normally.
7.) Exit the game to desktop.
8.) Load TQ again, without TQVaultMon running. Make sure that you can view/load all of your characters.
9.) Apply patch v1.15 ( http://thq.vo.llnwd.net/o10/TQ/Patch...111_to_115.exe )
10.) Play your characters.
Good luck!

I don't I just play with what I find. The game will be too easy with Uber items, same as D2. I just want to finish it with what I consider the hardest char, then I'll move on to something else.

Most times we play like Wakeman, we make new characters and run through the game and use what we find.

when we DO transfer though, there's two ways.

TQVault (we don't use it, but it is a very nice program, highly recommended!)

Server/Mule (ie: setup a second rig as a server or mule, and offload items/transfer items between characters, or just have a friend join up with a character, run that character through a couple quests that give an extra inventory bag as reward (just joining up a new char to a party and instantly teleporting them to Megara = free second inventory bag).

I find it boring to bust through Normal difficulty with uber items...but when you get to Epic, it's insanely hard sometimes so possibly necessary...

and then of course we find that if we play with a rogue and a mage, all the %#@#% items we pick up are for fighters and hunters hahaha

I didnt plan on swapping gear between my chars. I was gonna let each one be completely independent. But I started collecting stuff I didnt wasnt to get rid of so I decided to use the TQVault to warehouse all my gear. When I saw how easy it was to trade between chars though, I thought I'd be crazy not to use it. Its quite an amazing mod/hack.
