Default Putting together a hardcore team, 3 spots.

[Update] Cause of lack of interest it will be prosponed until there are 4 spots taken

We will be 4 people starting from the beginning. I dont have a Ventrilo or TS server but if anyone of you who joins in have one, we can talk there if that is wanted

Rules are - One death = Delete your char. I cant check in any way if you actually do this so death will be met with a kick and we just have to trust the people having 1+ death to actually delete their char with their equipment.

The very fun of playing Hardcore is the Excitment and the Thrill of the fact that if you die - all is lost. This fun however, is ruined when weak minded people dont have the dicipline to delete their char and its equipment. When you start a Hardcore char, you have to feel as if you have lost already. The challenge is to get as far as possible.

Dying because of lag:

One death counts no matter what. We will be playing the newest patch and hopefully we wont get many crashes. TS or VT is great cause if the game crashes they can tell so we other players can protect him from death. If you die still... tough luck baby.

Builds/attributes and looting.

I will invite 3 people with seperate build. This is because of loot distribution. Having 4 people with Storm/spirit ternion attack or 4 Dual wielders would be stupid as everyone would need the same type of loot and we might have to throw away epic/legendary items because noone needed them. We will discuss looting between us as to who would benefit the most from the items. Also this is HARDCORE, going fully int if you are a spellcaster might be the smartest idea if you play normally. But here, you should use a lot of points into HP.

If you are interested in joining in on this hardcore game answer the following.

Give some info about yourself.
What Build are you planning to use and wich item sets are you aiming for?
Do you have VT/TS, and do you want to use it? If yes. do you have a server?
Do you have the time to play from 12.00 to 18.00 tuesday and continue on next day the same time until we die?(die in the game that is -.-)

And last, cheats will ofcourse not be tolerated in any way. I dont get why people who cheat even play at all.

Please answer if you are interested, my post may give the impression that i take this game WAY to serious but playing Hardcore is what i look at as the most fun and hopefully there are hardcore gamers out there who thinks the same

I have a question, Is the server going to be up 24/7 or can we only play when you are on?

Cause of the way Quests work, we will be 4 people all playing at the same time, each day until we die from the date we start.

Example: We start a thursday and play x hours, then friday for the same time or until someone must leave.

So you will have to have free time to join in, most people have vacation now so hopefully itll work out

Also: When players die they are out but can still stay on the server and follow the others around without gear to chat and witness to the others success until all are dead

Releasing a linux server version of Titan Quest would be a great addition to this already brilliant game.

So people like me who have access to hosted machines on stable connections with good upload could host permanent games.

I am afraid a substantial part of the lag we experience online is due to the hosts' low upstream bandwidth though I have never investigated hosting a game on my PC on a fast line.

I think we should just get a group going ... not have set times/dates/characters etc ...

Basically this ...

1. Name the game like Hardcore 1 or Hardcore 2 or Hardcore 3 (epic)
etc ... and give it a pw that people on here know ie whatever we want ie 'thunder' or something ...

2. Have set rules that we all agree on ...
such as ...
No tweeking
Can trade with other hardcore players as long as we know they are legit
No dying (obviously)
No restoring saved games for whatever reason (unless theres a error or crash) - I back up my characters once and awhile since one of my first characters got bugged at one point (quest problem).
and whatever else we think of ...

Posting our toons here so we know who is whom.

So basically it would work like this ...
Say we get 15 people that want to play this game HC ... so whenever someone looks to see if theres a game going on they look in the listing under hardcore and see if a game is on; if one isnt they make one with the designated pw ... or if a game is on but they dont 'fit' it ie too low or high level or what not they make a new one.

So this way we could always have a game up whenever we want. And play whenever we want ... obviously as people start playing and getting to know each others schedules we start playing games at those times.

I mean it would be similar to what D2 was like but a bit restricted obviously. And trading with other HC characters is one of the things that makes the game enjoyable.

---------------

I havn't played much of the mutiplayer aspect; was getting dissconnected too much and theres quest issues. But I 'think' if only people whom are on the same area are grouped and doing quests; that should solve that.

-I'm probably going to be gone till thursday- fyi

let me know what you guys think
