Tried to get an IT game up for the first time with a friend last night with no success.

We set up port forwarding on both our systems using port numbers gleaned from...I don't remember where. We couldn't do a LAN game via Hamachi (we can with other games) because we couldn't see each others' games and whenever we'd start an internet game, whoever was joining the existing game had their game exit to desktop.

We're both using the version sold over Steam.

Because I did some modding, I've deleted my local content and am reinstalling to try again tonight. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this sort of problem and how to fix it, if a reinstall won't do it.
