im my opinion i dont like to use warfare with a magic mastery as then i usually run into difficulties getting the best equipment for them as all 3, strength,dexterity and intelligence need to have points put in them and this leaves you too thin. but if you go with a magic and get the points right it leaves you with a powerful charecter in the upper levels.
Yes inteligence is only useful for the classes that have magic.
Definitely defense is a solid second mastery with warfare. i chose rogue and have an assasin and im in epic Hades. Its really what kind of game you would wana play that would dictate your mastery choices.
