Yeah, this is shameless self-promotion, but if I didn't believe in it, I wouldn't bother you about it.
So the band I'm in, Bang Camaro, is finally releasing a full album on February 21st. If you've heard the metalized theme from Titan Quest, Rock of Mages, then you're familiar with our work.
The idea of Bang Camaro is that we're all "indie" musicians (many of whom still have other sweet bands) who grew up on hard, honest rock music that eventually blew itself up and then never recovered. We missed it and love it. So we came together--three guitarists (one also plays keyboards when necessary), a drummer, a bassists, and 15 lead singers.
15 lead singers!? Yes. Basically, we've come to the conclusion that with tight, simple song-writting, we could just totally rock it and have a blast instead of shoehorning in bad lyrics and trite rhymes. Gang vocals, sure, but we also do a lot of (very challenging, but solid) three-part harmonies. It's a choir, really.
You can sample four songs on our MySpace page at
www.myspace.com/bangcamaro for free; a few more songs are available for previewing at
Bang Camaro. (There will be 12 tracks on the album.) You can buy the tracks individually for $.99, or you can get the album pre-orderd/purchased for $10 right now at
CDFreedom: Artist Page.
Also, if you're interested in catching us live and you're on the east coast (in the USA), you can catch us in Boston soon; NYC in a couple months, maybe in D.C. and Philly, too.
Anyway, I hope you like it!
