I agree with i.n.s.a.n.e. that you should go for both, if you have the points. If you need to choose one to get first, I'd go for plague as it will help your pets stay alive longer (w/ fatigue) and increase their damage (w/susceptability). That would be my personal preference but both are excellent skills.
